The Bachelorette (season 8) recap week 1

So, since yesterday was the first episode of the new season, all that happened was Emily meet the 25 men who will try to fight for her heart. 

 Doug receives the first impression rose after he showed Emily a letter that his 11 year old son had wrote for her. 

There where a couple of men who stood out while I watched last night.

Kalon was the last to arrive. He arrived in style... He came to the cocktail party in a helicopter. The other men hated him from the moment he arrived. Emily must have liked this because Kalon got a rose later that night. 

Another stand out was Tony. He got out of the limo carrying a glass slipper. Tony got down on one knee and asked Emily to try it on to see if she was the princess he was looking for. I wonder if Tony watched Cinderella before coming to the mansion? Anyway, Emily gave him a rose later at the rose ceremony. 

Randy was another stand out in my mind. He came dressed as a grandmother, cane and all. Emily was not impressed and didn’t give him a rose. Bye Bye Randy. 

Travis came out of the limo holding an egg. He told Emily that he would take care of this egg like he would take care of Emily and Ricki. He was the last to be called to get a rose. 

Stevie, a party MC who came in dancing with boom box in hand. He promised he would teach Emily how to dance if she kept him around. I hope he keeps to his promise because he got a rose. 

Chris brought bobbleheads of him and Emily and took time at the cocktail party to act out a scene with them. I think this was a tacky move but Emily must have liked it because he got a rose.
