Reading Reflection 8

So, here is my weekly reading reflection from Monday.

I haven't had much time to sit down and read, but here is what I have been able too read.

Book: Sisterhood Everlasting
Author: Ann Brashares
Pages read: 45- 61

Chapter 4 starts off with a flashback of Carmen not able to sleep because she was afraid to fly the next day, she was nine years old. I am wondering why Carmen is so afraid to fly? The chapter comes back to present day, the night before she is to fly to see her friend Tibby. Carmen feels the same way she did when she was nine.

The chapter then tells us that it is the day that Carmen, Bridget, and Lena are to fly to meet Tibby in Santorini, Greece. Tibby had sent each of her friends a ticket to have a reunite with her at Lena's grandparents place in Santorini, Greece, which is now empty since they died.

When the friends land in Santorini, Greece, they are looking all over the airport to find Tibby but they can't. Bridget thinks a lady looks like what Tibby would look like but it turns out to not be Tibby. What I want to know is why the friends don't know what their best friend looks like? Maybe it is because they haven’t seen Tibby in a couple years.

The friends decide to go to the house and see if she is there. When they arrive at the house, it is empty but the friends know Tibby was there before because they find fresh flowers all over the house and bedding on the beds. I wonder where she could of gone? I have a feeling that either Tibby is trying to hide something from her friends or something bad happened to her.

The fifth chapter starts with the three friends worrying that Tibby is hurt because it was getting late. They didn't even want to talk until Tibby showed up. Lena thinks that Tibby got into a car accident but Bridget shoots down that.

In this chapter, it says that Tibby hasn't told her friends much of anything in a long time. This makes me think that Tibby doesn't want her friends to know something. But, what could that be?

Lena decides to call the police to report Tibby missing but the operator told her to wait 24 hours and to call back if Tibby doesn't show up.

The next day, two officers come to the house and inform the friends that Tibby may have died in a swimming accident. A women's body is found at a beach that fits the description of Tibby. The friends don't believe this could have happened to her. Lena agrees that she will be the one to call Tibby's parents back in the USA to tell them what she has learned.

I have a feeling that this women's body is Tibby and that Lena, Bridget, and Carmen will learn secrets about Tibby that they never know.
